Why am I not surprised by this?

I mean really?  Did this really happen?

Did someone lose their job over this?

Oh the stories we ALL have with our TV providers.  We’ve all been through something…but this takes them all!

Isabel Albright passed on at 102-years-old last year, her family called DirecTV to disconnect her service……and guess what they said.   Unfortunately, the California woman was still under contract with them, so they hit her with a $160 “early termination fee”. Even after explaining the situation, the provider wouldn’t budge.

Albright’s son in law, John Manrique, called the local TV stations’  7 On Your Side.  The parent company AT&T reached out to apologize, finally agreeing to waive the penalty.

Gotta love the media….no one wants bad press.

Benjamin Franklin once said there were two certainties in life: death and taxes. Perhaps we can add a third to that list: early termination fees.

Check out the story HERE

Isabel Albright was among the oldest people in America - living through 2 world wars, 18 presidents and multiple moon landings. Yet, ironically, she didn't outlive her satellite TV contract.
