Study Shows Daytime Naps Are Good For Your Health
I’m not mad about this study. I love a good nap midday on the weekends.
A study published in the journal Heart found two naps a week can lower your risk of heart attack or stroke. Scientist examined about 35,000 people for five years and found out a nap or two releases stress from lack of sleep. This is some good news I can show my wife when I just want to take a afternoon nap. Hopefully this will go over well… She might think I’m doing it to avoid cleaning dishes or laundry but in fact it’s for my health. Doctors orders?
Sleep experts say that 20 minutes is enough to get benefits such as improved alertness, enhanced performance and a better mood. 20 minutes seems too short but I will have to give it a shot. The study said more studies need to be done and I’m interested to see what they find out!
