Hurricane Dorian Closings And Cancellations
As Hurricane Dorian continues to get closer to the state of Florida, many events are being canceled and businesses are being closed.
Here is a list of the closings and cancellations we know of so far:
- Several Florida State parks have closures related to Hurricane Dorian. Click here, to see which parks have been closed.
- Remainder of the Florida State League baseball season, including playoffs, canceled
- Hillsborough Co. Animal resources and conservation parks closed Friday
- Polk School District reschedules JV games originally scheduled for August 29, moves them to October 24
- Polk School District reschedules varsity games originally scheduled for August 30 rescheduled
- Citrus County Parks and Recreation Fall Kickball program is canceled for Tuesday, September 3rd and is rescheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 10th.
- Citrus County Parks and Recreation Adult Co-ed Volleyball for Wednesday, September 4th is canceled.
- Saint Leo University is closing their main campus, East Pasco Education Center and Tampa, MacDill, Lakeland, and Ocala education centers starting Sunday and lasting through Tuesday.
