These cake decorators are having a little bit of fun making new cakes to try and shoo hurricane Dorian away from Florida.
Publix cake decorator took it upon herself to make there hurricane-themed cakes and they are bring smiles to shoppers’ faces. A good way to bring light to the very stressful situation.
“I was with a coworker and said ‘I’m going to put a hurricane on a cake!'” Jessica Gouin, a Publix cake decorator in Neptune Beach, told ABC Action News. “They took off after I put them in our display case. I haven’t stopped making them yet.”
We know this is a serious situation that shouldn’t be taken lightly but while grocery shopping, seeing these cakes on the shelf bring a light light to the situation. I still see it as a way to cause awareness in a fun way. I wish I could pick one up for the weekend as my family is stuck at home together.
