Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth announced their separation a few weeks ago, but now the divorce is happening.
TMZ has obtained legal documents that Liam has filed, and on them it states “irreconcilable differences.”
The gossip website reports, “Liam and Miley had a prenup, keeping their earnings during the marriage separate, so there won’t be a fight over money. And, since there are no kids, we’re told that the divorce will be easy breezy.”
Since announcing their separation, Miley has been seen hanging out with and making out with The Hills star Kaitlynn Carter in Italy. Carter was recently separated from her husband, Brody Jenner. Liam has also been spotted out in public sans his wedding ring.
TMZ also adds that, according to one of their sources, “Miley had made overtures as recently as this week, saying she wanted to work on the marriage, but Liam was steadfast that it was over.”
The pair got married less than a year ago, in December. The couple had been together, on and off, for about a decade.
