The NFL preseason is underway and before you know it the regular season will be here. The Bucs have had a lot of changes since the end of last year. Here are the top 5 things to know about this year’s team:
– Head Coach Bruce Arians – He is in his first year as the head coach of the Bucs. He replaced Dirk Koetter and has been the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals and the Indianapolis Colts.
– Jameis Winston – He is entering the last year of his contract. We know about his off the field troubles, but it’s what he needs to do on the field this season if he is going to be the starting quarterback of the Bucs moving forward.
– Devin White – The Bucs drafted him with the fifth pick in this year’s draft. He is from LSU and will be part of the linebacker core with Lavonte David.
– Ndamukong Suh – The Bucs brought in Suh from the Rams to replace Gerald McCoy, who was released by the team and now plays for the Panthers. Oh, and Suh is wearing the same number that McCoy wore, #93.
– The Bucs defense – The is no question that the Bucs defense was the weakest part of the team last season. Ex New York Jets head coach, Todd Bowles, is now the defense coordinator and will look to improve the defense.
