School is back in session next week, and some classes don’t have teachers
Well…this isn’t good news for kids. But good news if you’re looking for a job and have the experience of teaching or driving school bus.
Hillsborough County has more than 300 instructional openings. This includes classroom teachers, but also speech pathologists, school counselors, reading coaches and more.
Pinellas County Schools has approximately 39 open classroom teacher positions.
Polk County Schools currently has 123 teacher positions open and 20 to 25 bus driver positions open.
Pasco County Schools currently needs 136 teachers and one nurse.
Highlands County Schools still needs to hire 32 teachers for elementary, middle and high school instructional positions.
Hernando County Schools currently needs 26 teachers.
