There is a grocery store that just made something so genius I hope it comes to Florida.

Zupan’s Markets placed climate controlled dog houses outside of their stores in Portland, Oregon where shoppers can rent for their dog(s) while they shop, only 30 cents per minute not too bad. The homes are provided by DogSpot, a New York company that has homes placed in Seattle as well.

Don’t worry the houses are pretty secure, or so I see… According to KGW-TV, each home is air conditioned and secure using a door that can only be unlocked by the person that rented the home through the app. They are also self-cleaning using a vet-grade UV light that sanitizes the bacteria after each use. AND the best part, there is a in-app puppy camera that you can check in on your dog while you are inside shopping.

We definitely need something like this in Florida, especially on these extremely hot days. I have seen enough stories in the news about people leaving their dogs in the car, this is a great solution to the problem. Publix… How do you like this idea?
