Weekdays 3p-7p

It’s mosquito season and it sucks opening the door on a humid day and all the mosquitos entering the house…

Hillsborough County has a solution for all of their residents. Hillsborough County residents can pick up free mosquito fish to help reduce backyard mosquito breeding this summer.

According to the county, mosquito fish are small, native freshwater fish that eat mosquito larvae. Mosquito fish are an ideal resource for backyard ponds, birdbaths, fountains, animal troughs, unused swimming pools, and other standing water. The fish eat the larvae before they become mosquitoes, helping to reduce the adult population and to control the spread of mosquito-borne disease.
