Police in Lufkin, Texas say they’ve identified the woman who licked a tub of ice cream before putting it back in a store freezer.
Although they’re withholding her name pending an arrest, Lufkin Director of Public Safety Gerald Williamson says “appropriate charges will be filed” against the woman.
A source tells NBC News she could face a second-degree felony charge of tampering with a consumer product, which could net her up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
The incident was caught on video in a Lufkin Walmart on June 28, and has since gone viral, amassing more than 11 million views.
