Our Tampa Bay Lightning didn’t win the Stanley Cup this year but got recognized at the 2019 NHL Awards!
Congratulations to Andrei Vasilevskiy for winning the Vezina Trophy for best goalie, and becoming the first Tampa Bay Lightning goalie to ever receive this honor. That wasn’t the only player to get praise tonight:
- Nikita Kucherov won three awards: Hart Memorial Trophy for MVP, the Art Ross Trophy for most points, and the Ted Lindsay Trophy for most outstanding player.
- Victor Herman got nominated for the Norris Trophy for best defenseman for the third year in a row.
- Jon Cooper got nominated for the Jack Adams Award for coach of the year.
I’m not too surprised… our boys are great. Hopefully next year is OUR YEAR to get THE CUP.
Also, can Nikita get on the cover of the NHL game soon?
