Our very own ZooTampa will be on National Geographic Wild in a six-part TV series.
How cool is this?
National Geographic Wild called ZooTampa of Lowry Park “the ideal destination for anyone who loves animals.”
It will be great to have a Tampa Bay attraction being featured on national television. Florida is definitely a hot spot for animal sanctuaries and zoos. We will have to wait a little bit until we are able to see the show, the series is set to premiere in Winter 2020.
According to WTSP, the show aims to showcase the “exotic cast of animals with a stellar team of humans devoted to them” at the zoo. National Geographic Wild said the series will showcase new arrivals at the zoo, “tearful farewells,” cute and cuddly zoo residents and a “stunning apex predator.” The network also calls ZooTampa, “the ideal destination for anyone who loves animals.”
I guess we will just have to wait until the premiere… but EVEN BETTER we live so close to ZooTampa of Lowry Park we can visit as many times as we like and get familiar with the Zoo so when we see it on TV we can say, “I’ve been there!” “I know where that is!”
Congratulations ZooTampa at Lowry Park!
