FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - AUGUST 31: A passenger holds his passport and ticket at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport as he checks in for JetBlue Flight 387 the first scheduled commercial flight to Cuba since 1961 on August 31, 2016 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. JetBlue which hopes to have as many as 110 daily flights is the first U.S. airline to resume regularly scheduled airline service under new rules allowing Americans greater access to Cuba. Tampa International Airport announced a pass where people who are not traveling can enter the airside gates.

This program will allow people who are not traveling to access gates, shops and restaurants beyond the security checkpoint year-round on Saturdays.

If you decide to participate in the TPA all access, you have to still go through security and can’t bring certain things to the gates. All items prohibited in carry-on luggage, including liquids, aerosols and gels, apply to personal items taken through security. Please review a list of all TSA prohibited items here

I think this is a pretty decent idea but I do not know if I would want to put myself through security. It will be interesting to see if this will be successful.

“Now families, foodies or even couples looking for a unique date experience can come try our chargrilled oysters at Ulele, sample locally brewed beer at Cigar City and shop for unique gifts and items at our duty-free and fine retail stores without having to buy a ticket.,” TPA CEO Joe Lopano said.

The first day of All Access is this Saturday, May 4.
