Florida theme parks are on a roll this week with the announcements.

SeaWorld Orlando

Sesame Street Land opened TODAY at SeaWorld Orlando.

The addition to central Florida’s theme park are aimed to young families. The 6-acre (2-hectare) Sesame Street land at SeaWorld Orlando is located where the kid-friendly Shamu’s Happy Harbor used to be.

Legoland Florida

The GRAND OPENING of Lego Movie World is TODAY.

The new land will feature rides, characters and taco shop

Characters like Princess Unikitty, Emmet and Benny will all be featured in the new land, which is a mixture of both films from the Lego Movie universe. So don’t be surprised when you see a triple decker couch inside the Masters of Flight attraction. Unikitty’s Disco Ball Drop ride will be just exhilarating enough for 2 to 12 year olds, the park’s target audience. The Battle of Bricksburg is a water feature ride where the Duplo Aliens are trying to take over Emmet’s home town.

Also you can meet the stars of the Lego Movie: Emmet, Lucy, Princess UniKitty and Benny the Astronaut!

Last but not least, there is also a Taco Everyday shop. Everyday will be Taco Tuesday!

Walt Disney World – Disney Springs

Disney announced earlier this week that their Disney Quest replacement, NBA Experience will open on Monday, August 12th.

The new attraction will feature 13 interactive activities designed to let visitors feel like a pro basketball player.

The two floor interactive arena will include a slam dunk challenge, a shooting challenge, a way for visitors to measure their dribbling skills against the pros, trivia contests and more.

The NBA Experience will also feature leader boards that display real-time states of the day’s top performers.

Universal Orlando Resort

Earlier this month Universal Orlando showed a sneak peek of a new ride coming to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Islands of Adventure. The ride will be called: Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.

Guests will join Hagrid at his Care of Magical Creatures class, where they will board enchanted motorcycles, each equipped with a sidecar that give a ride a completely different experience.

The coaster will open on Thursday, June 13 at Universal’s Islands of Adventure in Orlando.
