Taylor Swift’s Stalker Arrested for Breaking Into Her Home for the Third Time
Just one day after she wrote about being terrified for her safety in an essay for Elle Magazine, Taylor Swift’s stalker was arrested for breaking into her New York City home again.
It is the third time Roger Alvarado has broken into the singer’s home, this time through a second floor balcony. According to the Associated Press, Alvarado used a ladder to climb to the second floor and smashed a glass door to get inside.
Swift was not home at the time of the incident.
Alvarado served six months in jail for breaking into her home last April. According to reports, he climbed into her bed and went to sleep after using her shower. Swift was not home at the time.
Prior to that, in February, he was arrested on charges of breaking her front door open with a shovel.
Swift has an order of protection out against Alvarado, 23. He has been charged with stalking, burglary, felony criminal contempt for violating the order of protection, criminal mischief and two counts of possession of burglar tools, ABC News reports.
Swift admitted Tuesday that she has a deep fear of violence, which has carried over into her personal life.
“Websites and tabloids have taken it upon themselves to post every home address I’ve ever had online,” Swift wrote in Elle Magazine’s March issue. “You get enough stalkers trying to break into your house and you kind of start prepping for bad things.”
