Pinellas Beaches Prepare For Biggest Spring Break In History!
Here we go…. Spring Break is officially here!
It’s that time of year again…. our roads and beaches are packed with Spring Breakers! It officially kicked off Monday and will last until Mid April…could be longer with Easter on April 21st this year.
2019 is expected to be the largest on record. Many Clearwater beach hotels have been sold out for weeks and Tampa International Airport is expecting 3.6 million passengers to fly in over the next six weeks.
That is up 9%
So that also means….Clearwater Police Department are getting ready to double its beach patrols, checking for alcohol and other issues. Anyone caught with alcohol will face a $118 fine or jail time.
Clearwater’s recent ranking as the #1 Beach in America is also expected to bring in a lot more people.
Be patient…road will be crowded…there won’t be any parking at the beach, there will be more traffic and you’ll have to wait longer to get a table and a drink… but welcome everyone here to Tampa and remember the Red Tide last summer killed a lot of tourism…so i’m happy to see everyone coming back!
