Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl Will Feature Two Puppies From A Zephyrhills Shelter!

Make sure you check out the Puppy Bowl on Sunday…. A very important shelter dog from Zephyrills, Florida will be in the game!

Yawn…… watching Tom Brady again in the Super Bowl this Sunday….or Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl XV!!!!!  Yes, I’m all about the dogs and Puppy Bowl is set to happen this Sunday…the same day  as the NFL’s Super Bowl LIII, and two pups from Tampa Bay will be in the big event!

The dogs are:  Emmitt, a 15-week-old Australian cattle dog and the other is Boykin, a spaniel mix who holds the record for “most “pawsessions” in the league.”  Ha Ha!!!

Emmitt was brought to Zephyrhills’ Planned Pethood along with his six brothers because he was living in a a hoarding situation.  He is super feisty despite being the smallest in size…he weights just three pounds…awwww!

He should do really good on Sunday!

Launa is part of Tampa Bay's Hometown Morning Krewe on 99.5 WQYK. She has been with the station for 7 years and joined J.R. and Kevin on the morning show 4 years ago. Since then, they have been nominated for not only a CMA but also an ACM. Launa has been in radio for the past 28 years and in the Tampa Bay market for 22 of those years.
