The CDC announced a major warning about romaine lettuce because of an E. coli outbreak. They are advising everyone to throw out all of their romaine lettuce, but it is still available at some Tampa Bay area stores.
There have been 32 people in 11 states who’ve been hospitalized so far, but no one from Florida has been hospitalized yet.
The CDC said in a statement, “This advice includes all types or uses of romaine lettuce, such as whole heads of romaine, hearts of romaine, and bags and boxes of precut lettuce and salad mixes that contain romaine, including baby romaine, spring mix, and Caesar salad.”
