Coming from out of town for the QYK Guitar Pull? Every year, we get lots of visitors from Orlando, Daytona, Jacksonville, Miami and beyond because you’ll probably never get this group of artists on stage again. It’s a once a lifetime chance to see Dustin Lynch share the stage with Mitchell Tenpenny, Dylan Scott, Cam, Trent Harmon and Riley Green. These artists don’t tour together. But for one night only, they’ll share the stage at the QYK Guitar Pull.
For you out of town folks, I’m going to be busy on concert day getting ready but I’d love to show you around one of my favorite cities. St. Pete is a fast-evolving artistic foodie city with great beaches and nightlife. You’ve got all day to play before Guitar Pull starts at 7:30 so let’s plan it out.
8am: I’m the night guy so I’m rarely up early enough for breakfast. But when I am, I head to Lenny’s Restaurant. It’s a bit north of St. Pete. Pop 21220 US Hwy 19 N, Clearwater, FL 33765 into your GPS. Now QYK Guitar Pull is on a Wednesday so I don’t think the line will be too long. If you ever go on a weekend, you can wait over an hour for a table. People will wait that long because it’s worth it. Once you’re done stuffing your face with blueberry pancakes, head to Dunedin.

After 3 tries (I'm not a lines person) we finally got to try Lenny's in #Clearwater. Definitely worthy of the hype. The blueberry French toast was great but pic #2 was the best part. The firehouse fries may not be photogenic but they were so good. Home fries with onions, tomatoes, chopped Greek peppers and hot sauce. #genoatetampa #lennysclearwater
9am: You’re going to want to work that breakfast off. Rent a bike and hit the Pinellas Trail. It goes all over Pinellas County, but my favorite part is the stretch from Dunedin through Palm Harbor to the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks. The Sponge Docks have a lot of cool little shops to check out while you take a break from biking.
1pm: You’ve biked back to Dunedin. You should be hungry again. Get a pizza at Cristino’s. It’s ranked #18 in the country by Trip Advisor. Or if you’re in the mood for a killer sandwich, get the #20 Hot Italian at Mazzaros. If you end up doing Mazzaros, after head across the street to Bananas Music. It’s like a trip back in time to actually walk into a record shop in 2018. They have a lot of cool relics of the past. Even if you don’t buy any music or a movie, buy a t-shirt. It’s so rare to have a spot like this. I always try to buy something to help keep them in business.
3pm: Head to a beach or downtown St. Pete. There are so many great spots along the water in St. Pete I can’t even begin to give you a list. But have a beer. Enjoy our views.
6pm: OK, it’s gametime. The QYK Guitar Pull countdown is on. Head to The Mahaffey. There are lots of great spots nearby to grab a bite to eat if you’re hungry (probably not) or just walk around. Downtown St. Pete is always alive – even on weeknights – with great museums, art galleries, shops, bars and restaurants.
7pm: Ok take your seat at The Mahaffey and enjoy the 4th annual QYK Guitar Pull. If this is your first time, this will ruin all other concerts for you. There’s nothing like it. All the artists will be on stage together sharing jokes and stories about the songs you hear on QYK. We’ll probably see next year. And the year after that. And the year… you get the idea.
