Gotta thank one of my listeners for this tip! So a week or so ago, I let you know that when the Tampa Bay Lightning get a home game win this season, you get a free chicken sandwich or chicken biscuit from Chick-fil-A the next day. That is unless it's a Saturday game... you'll have to wait til Monday to claim it.
Well here's the thing. The Lightning LOST the second game they played this season. But I happened to notice (and many of you did too) that the free sandwich STILL popped up in the app. And it worked! One of my callers says she spoke with a manager and the guy who did the Chick-fil-A mobile app apparently couldn't differentiate between a win and a loss. So therefore, it appears you'll get a freebie after EVERY home game whether the Bolts win or lose! We'll have to wait and see if this is official. The Bolts play Thursday (10/18) at home against Detroit. If the Lightning lose and the app still shows the freebie, it seems safe to say we're going to have about 40 free chicken sandwiches this season!
Two other things that are tripping people up. You want to claim that free sandwich as soon as you can. Word is you have until about 10am/10:30am the next morning to claim it in your app. You don't have to ORDER it before 10AM. You just have to claim the offer within the app. I suggest looking for it on your app about a half hour after the game ends.
Finally, the other thing that's messing a few folks up is you need to have the location detection on in the app. This offer is just for Tampa Bay fans. So if the app can't tell you're in the area, you won't get the offer.
