Tampa Area Theaters To Show “Smokey and the Bandit” For $5
Some Tampa Bay movie theaters are paying tribute to the late Burt Reynolds. On Thursday (September 20), you’ll be able to see Reynolds’ classic movie “Smokey and the Bandit” one more time on the big screen. Tickets will be cheap… just $5.
Burt Reynolds was raised here in Florida and played for Florida State University. Injuries sidelined his hopes of becoming a NFL great. But the acting thing worked out pretty well for him.
Here are the local movie theaters and showtimes where you can watch Smokey and The Bandit Thursday.
AMC Veterans 24 in Tampa at 1:30pm and 7:00pm
AMC Highwwoods 20 in Tampa at 12:45pm and 7:45pm
AMC The Regency 20 in Brandon at 9:00pm
AMC Bradenton 20 at 5:05pm and 7:35pm
My friend Marie on Facebook: I remember seeing it at the movie theater on Hillsborough Avenue at Dale Mabry. If I remember correctly the shopping center was called Horizon. After the movie let out everyone was peeling out in the parking lot. Suddenly everyone was the Bandit! It was very funny!
