This morning, I got a few messages from fans of The Band Perry irate with me for using a picture of them riding a roller coaster at Disney World. The article was a silly one about how riding Big Thunder Mountain at Magic Kingdom has apparently been scientifically proven to help get rid of kidney stones.
We have a gallery of images here at QYK we’re allowed to use legally when we write stories. That photo was the only one that turned up for Big Thunder Mountain. In it, you see The Band Perry riding the coaster a few years ago. This angered some of their fans which gave me a chuckle. Then one of them noticed the band unfollowed me not long after the post was put up. Seemed odd to me. I’ve only met The Band Perry once but they usually have a sense of humor and obviously I wasn’t implying they had kidney stones.
It’s a few hours later and now EVERYTHING has been deleted from their social media. Turns out kidney stone gate is over. They’ve unfollowed EVERYONE except each other. All Twitter posts have been deleted and replaced with new photos of the group. All 3 are now blond. And judging by the captions and artwork of some new posts, it looks like they’re restarting their career. The GPS coordinates in the captions you’ll see below point to locations in Arizona.
The Band Perry has been quiet for the past few years. There was a song released last year but it didn’t make any waves. The only time the group was in the news since then was when Kimberly got a divorce. You may remember the group pulled out of the lineup this year at The Florida Strawberry Festival. Their official web site has been erased and replaced with their new profile photo.
Wonder what the Band Perry will look/sound like this time ???? pic.twitter.com/NBW3oEqABb— Amanda (@cirrus0209) September 15, 2018
This new look makes you think it’s seems safe to say we can expect an all new sound to go with it? Seems like the wholesome small town image we had of them is long gone now.
