Here Is What It’s Like To Hang Backstage With Taylor Swift

I first met Taylor Swift 12 years ago with her mother Andrea to interview her about her first single "Tim McGraw." I knew there was something special about the young lady, but who knew then that she would turn out to be a super mega-star.

Let me start by saying, Taylor has not changed a bit since then. She was genuinely glad to see us (even commented on my tan) and made me and the 99.5 QYK staff feel like family at the show.

The Reputation Stadium Tour Vibe Room was super cozy. As we waited for Taylor's arrival, we were treated to some food and drinks themed after her song lyrics. The finale was Ms. Swift getting everyone's attention to thank the radio stations for our support over the years. She then gushed over how much her fans mean to her. It was a genuine and heartwarming speech.

Andrea was kind enough to take us on a backstage tour and explained how much manpower goes in to putting on her daughter's stadium show.

Taylor is obsessive over a perfect fan experience. That's why it takes over 50 semi-trucks, four 747 airplanes and dozens of workers to pull-off the total Taylor experience. It's the most spectacular production I have ever seen and can't wait to see what she does the next time she comes to Tampa Bay!
