Disney Is Eliminating Plastic Straws

The Walt Disney Company becomes the latest corporation to start phasing out plastic drinking straws.

Disney plans to stop using single serving plastic straws and plastic stirrers at their parks around the world by mid-2019.

For Disney, that would mean a reduction of 175 million straws and 13 million stirrers annually. Starbucks recently announced they will also drop plastic straws by 2020.
