The police were called on two moms who were breastfeeding at a pool in Mora, Minnesota.
Stephanie Buchanan and Mary Davis, who are sisters-in-law, took their kids to cool off at the Mora Aquatic Center last week. Among their six kids were 2 infants that needed to be fed.
When the women started breastfeeding, a woman asked them to cover up because her son was swimming nearby. When the ladies refused, a staff member came over to address the situation. Buchanan told the staffer that Minnesota State Law protects breastfeeding moms.
The police were then called to the pool. Buchanan posted about the incident on Facebook and organized a nurse-in at a public area near the pool last Saturday.
