BRIDGEPORT, CT – MARCH 12: A U-haul truck is parked in front of a foreclosed home on March 12, 2010 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. A new report by RealtyTrac Inc. announced that the number of foreclosed homes in Connecticut, one of the nation’s wealthiest states, is up 3.4 percent from January to February of this year. Nationwide foreclosures have decreased by two percent from January to February. The report, which was released yesterday, says there were nearly 2,300 foreclosure filings in Connecticut last month, compared with nearly 2,200 in January. (Photo by Spencer Platt/Getty Images)

Tampa Bay online shoppers who are wondering where their Amazon Prime Day packages are may be victims of porch pirates. Surveillance video has shown thiefs driving slowly through neighborhoods in rented U-Haul trucks and driving off with packages.
Hopefully the U-Haul locations that rented out these trucks can help investigators catch these criminals. But until then, if you see someone driving slowly through your neighborhood in a moving truck, keep an eye on them.
If you've ordered items online, it's a good idea to have packages that have anything valuable delivered to where you work. Also be sure to check your Amazon app or log on to their web site. They are pretty quick to update your order status. Usually within a minute or two of your package being dropped off, it'll be marked as delivered. Some drivers don't know when they make a delivery. You can set your phone to do push notifications if you have the Amazon app.
