Last week I talked about a new grocery chain opening a location in St. Pete. Now one is closing. Employees of the last Tampa Bay location of Safeway were told today the Largo Mall store would be closing. All Florida stores will do the same. Publix will buy 3 of the stores, according to IONTB.com. One of them will be that Largo location on Ulmerton Road.
It was only 2 years ago, ABC Action News did this story.

That largo mall location didn’t stay up very long. I’m a dedicated Publix customer though. Lucky’s and Trader Joe’s come in for a second tie.
