A Throwback Thursday Pic Of The CMA Best NEW Artist?
Yup! A few of you on my Facebook page last night got a kick out of the irony that Jon Pardi won “Best New Artist” at the CMA Awards. After all, QYK listeners were part of the Pardi almost FIVE YEARS AGO when Jon played the QYK Fun ‘N Country concert at Coachman Park in Clearwater!
I remember Jon being a big fan of all the acts playing that day like Colt Ford and Billy Currington. Even Chris Janson was there… long before he could afford that boat! Instead of staying in his trailer, Jon was wandering around backstage and watching most of the bands perform from the side of the stage.
