We all got that buzz on our cell phone we dread Wednesday night. When the Amber Alert went out, we only knew that it was a child abduction. In the following days, we learned about the awful family situation playing out.

Social media has its downsides, but it worked wonders this time. A woman who saw the kids with their mother in a hotel signed on to Facebook and helped police do their job. Mom is in jail. The kids are safe.
