So it kind of was too good to be true... in a way.

Legal action is now being threatened by AMC Entertainment over a discounted monthly "Movie Pass."

AMC is reportedly trying to get out of the subscription service that MoviePass is offering because the monthly subscription of $9.95 per month cannot possibly support film makers .  If you haven't heard, under the program the subscribers get to see a movie every day of the month.
“In AMC’s view, that price level is unsustainable and only sets up consumers for ultimate disappointment down the road if or when the product can no longer be fulfilled,” the theater chain said in a statement.

AMC also says that it will no longer be offering discounts on tickets to MoviePass.
