Garth Shows His Love For Yet Another Fan
When Garth Brooks isn’t busy singing songs to fans in Outer Space, he’s doing other cool things for his fans back on Earth.
Take Laura Bertaut of Slidell, Louisiana. She turned 89 this week (7/3) and the megastar gave her one of his guitars during a concert in Lafayette, serenading her with “If Tomorrow Never Comes” in the process. “I’m sure she’s ecstatic,” her daughter Lori told The Times-Picayune of New Orleans. “She probably had heart palpitations, knowing her.”
Bertaut’s other daughter Holly Dickman was given tickets to the show and asked her mom to go with her. Dickman and her daughter made a sign that read, “Elvis was my last concert” and stuck in the Laura’s hands to wave at the show. Once the Jumbotron zeroed in on the sight, “things got interesting,” the newspaper notes.
